Next War Taiwan: International Posture Matrix

Lest y’all think that design is all just fun and games, it also involves math and statistics. Here’s just a little tidbit of some of the inner workings of the International Posture Matrix from Next War: Taiwan.

That was tedious work.

Note: this is a follow-up to a post on the InsideGMT Blog.

  1. Mr. Land,
As the designer of GMT’s next war series I would like to talk to you for a few moments at your convenience.

I saw a Baltic Wargame mentioned here:

That came is being used by NATO with a rudimentary map, poor game pieces, no written rules, and CRT and TECs on PowerPoint. The military will let me upgrade it for use in the Marine Corps War College, and I want to discuss how to do this with someone who I assume is knowledgeable as to the particulars of how to get this done and at what cost —- Professionally produced counters and maps.

If you have the time to call me you can reach me at home – 703 250-1424 or on my cell 908 380-2757 — or send me a good day, time and number to call you.

    Thank you for your consideration.

    Best Regards,

    Dr. James Lacey
    Professor of Strategic Studies
    Marine Corps War College
